Carolina Liquid Chemistries 800 Clinical Chemistry Analyzer for Mid-Volume Laboratories Receives FDA Clearance to Market

Carolina Liquid Chemistries Corp. (CLC) recently expanded their family of chemistry analyzers. The company is known for providing clinical laboratories with instruments and reagents to run over 80 different tests to diagnose and treat patients. The CLC 800 meets the needs of a mid-volume clinical laboratory and complements the existing members of its analyzer family. CLC now offers a complete line of analyzers to meet the needs of every chemistry laboratory.
The CLC 800 produces up to 400 photometric tests per hour. Its impressive small footprint (42in X 31in X45in) meets both the throughput and space requirements of today’s laboratory. The up-to-date software is simple and user-friendly with built in trouble shooting and secure remote diagnostic capability. The two reagent compartments allow for 88 reagent positions and the use of one, two, three and four part reagents. This coupled with its onboard refrigeration and bar-coded reagents makes the CLC 800 the easiest and most versatile instrument in its class. The CLC 800 utilizes an advanced photometric system with a holographic concave flat field grating, rear spectrophotometer and a long life light source. The design of the photometer eliminates signal attenuation interference and delivers precise results. All this along with the CLC 800’s ease of use and low maintenance saves time and cost, while increasing productivity.
“CLC offers the CLC 480 bench-top for smaller clinical laboratories, the CLC 6410 for large core and reference labs and now the CLC 800 for mid-volume labs looking for an economical choice”, states Phil Shugart, CEO. “Our product line is incredibly flexible, with a chemistry analyzer for any size or budget”.
CLC offers the complete chemistry solution by providing instrumentation that ranges in throughput from 240 to 6400 tests per hour. The company’s extensive reagent line includes general chemistry tests from the comprehensive metabolic, lipid, liver, renal and electrolyte panels to special tests such as vitamin D, urine drug screens and more. The company offers all of the calibrators, controls, parts and supplies to support the instruments and reagents, along with service contracts supported by their nationwide field service and technical support group. CLC customers are trained in their new Customer Training and Education Center, located in the prestigious Wake Forest Innovation Quarter, in downtown Winston- Salem, NC.
